Mercedes C230 Kompressor

Okay. So this is my dream vehicle. I never thought I would be a big fan of Mercedes because of the FLASHINESS that comes with it. The snootiness - it looks like the kind of car you would expect to see Paris Hilton stumbling out of at 3:00AM. But I just love the lines of this car… I have only seen it on the road or parked so I decided to do some investigating to see what this car is all about.

This is what I found…

According to cartalk.com the C230 Kompressor Sport Coupe is the smallest and least expensive Mercedes you can buy. (This is good news for me!) It’s also the nicest two-door hatchback on the market. (Even better, because I have a civic two-door hatchback and this would be an upgrade…) It used to be that a fully loaded VW Golf was as upscale as you could go with a practical and sporty two-door hatchback. Diesel Efficiency

Whenever I think of diesel, I just naturally think - big stinky diesel truck. That is why I was really surprised when I read an interesting article on msn.com about green cars and how diesel is being considered a viable option as a fuel saver and is often offered at a lower cost than a hybrid.

Diesel fuel is getting cleaner and companies like Mercedes Benz tout their Bluetec diesel models as the cleanest diesels in the world. (In part as a response to the emissions standards in Europe are getting higher.)
