Americans love their look; they’re engineering, and let’s not forget their speed! Made for the German Audubon - these cars have become flagships of American Opulence. Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Audi… they are holler’n luxury. Although for Audi it has taken some time to reach this level of status.
My parents had an Audi 5000 turbo when I was growing up, it looked like a box. This was in the early 1990’s, and that thing was in the shop more than it was on the road. So much for German engineering! They still have not had the courage to go Audi again.
Maybe if they read some more recent stats their minds would change. According to the automaker, which sold over 829,000 in 2005, sales were up more than 8 percent over the last year’s figures. The luxury brand plans to allocate over $15 billion through 2011.
There is no doubt about it Audi has evolved…take the new Audi R8 for instance, this thing is hot!
