From this angle it would appear as though the S5's sunroof is quite large. It is big, but unlike the blacked-out section you see here, the actual opening is not half the size of the car's roof. From the driver's seat the sunroof opening looks quite normal. Tilt it up and the whole roof panel does raise up a bit, but the effect on the inside is no different. So basically, Audi uses that big piece of glass for nothing more than a little decoration. Instead of an odd-looking square stuck in the middle of the roof, the designers went the extra mile and made it look like it belongs there. Nice.
